Have you ever walked into a home and felt the home has been loved. That is what home buyers are looking for when they step into your home. Buyers want to feel that a home has been taken care of and loved through out the years you have lived it in it. Lots of personal items, clutter of toys, books and gadgets and dirty light switches and window sills all give the buyer the impression that the home is not cared for by the current owner. Some ways to instantly make a home feel loved is to put a new coat of paint on the walls, have the home professionally cleaned and declutter all your personal items. Look at new homes at similar price points to your home…does you home convey a fresh new start for
buyers where they can see living in their new home.

Here are a few other ways to get your home market ready to show how much you love your home... Clean up all debris from the front entrance and put down a new mat, wreath on the door and a new pot with plants. Clear out extra furniture pieces, toys, over stuffed closets and cabinets. If you can not rent a storage unit, buy bins and store these in one room and the extra furniture in the garage. Make sure all appliances are super clean and cabinets, closets are in working order. Buyers are curious souls but if a home feels loved when they walk in, they are more likely to overlook the floor plan because the home is so well taken care of.
